Hey Toonsters!

I'm Julie, known online as Kitsulie and the Creative Producer of my independent creative studio- Kitsulie Studios. I love helping creators and businesses bring ideas to life through animation, multimedia, live entertainment, events and original productions.With over a decade of experience across creative and entertainment, I've explored a wide variety of creative outlets. I enjoy experimenting with new mediums and finding new ways to connect with people, whether that's through a colorful illustration, live event, social media, or an original animated project.Everyday is a new adventure, and I'm always excited to see where the next one leads!

My Story

Growing up in sunshine Florida, I loved the world of art and entertainment- I was always drawing comics and cartoons, putting on performances, writing up stories, or making people laugh; creativity ended up as more than just a hobby- It became my way of work and life!I decided to go to school for animation- Animation was a craft I always adored, and it seemed to encompass everything I loved. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Media Arts & Animation, and since 2009 have explored the entertainment industry in a variety of forms.Today, I'm based near Atlanta, where I continue growing Kitsulie Studios while balancing client work, creative collaborations and my own original productions.

Beyond the Studio

Throughout the years, I've had the opportunity to explore all kinds of creative experiences:

  • Performed as a clown, magician, face painter and various characters

  • Guided visitors through the history and stories of downtown Atlanta as a tour guide

  • Hosted trivia nights, bingo, DJ events, and served as an emcee host for local gatherings

  • Taught animation, filmmaking, and coding classes, helping others discover their own creativity

  • Brought nightmares to life as a scare actor and stunt performer for local haunted attractions

  • Designed event decor, balloon displays, banners, centerpieces, and themed experiences

  • Voice acted for commercials, podcasts, and creative productions

  • Worked both in front of and behind the camera through acting, background roles, and film production- IMDb

  • Contributed animation and assistant production work to a feature-length animated film

  • Produced my own online events, virtual parties, and interactive creative experiences

Behind the Name

Kitsulie is my personal artist name I created to be uniquely my own. With so many people sharing my real name, I wanted something personal that would represent me across all of my creative work. The name is a combination of the fox spirit "Kitsune" and my name "Julie"- Created on a whim one day and has stuck ever since 2007.
(If you look on any social site for Kitsulie- you'll find me!)Why the Kitsune? Foxes are one of my favorite animals, admired for their intelligence, curiosity, and playful nature. In folklore, Kitsune gain more tails as they grow wiser and more experienced, which I thought was so symbolic as I myself continue to learn, evolve, and grow creatively. You'll often find little fox cameos hidden throughout my work, and I sign my artwork with a signature fox tail. It's also the inspiration behind my three-tailed fox logo!And besides... Julie Kitsulie is just fun to say!

  • I'm an avid theme parks lover, especially dark rides, carnivals, themed events, and animatronics

  • I'm a lifelong fan of musical theater, cosplay and conventions

  • I adore horror movies, practical effects, creature features, and dark humor. Anything weird and bizarre.

  • I'm an aviation enthusiast with a love for aircraft, aerodynamics and learning about the world of flight

  • I'm a huge animal lover and share my home with a lively bunch of dogs, cats, and even tarantulas - KritterCraze

  • I love a good adrenaline rush! I've been skydiving, scuba diving, ziplining, tried aerial arts and flying trapeze, and even practiced roller derby. I'm all about living life up to the fullest!

  • I love to travel, especially scenic road trips, discovering hidden gems, and exploring places with rich history and character. One of my favorite adventures so far has been visiting London.

  • I enjoy gardening and always had a fascination with carnivorous plants, wildlife and nature in general.

  • I'm a math nerd who loves learning math concepts- fractals, the Golden Ratio, Chaos Theory, yes please!

  • I'm an avid thrifter and treasure hunter who loves finding nostalgic vintage, quirky collectibles, and hidden gems with a story to tell. Plus, it's fun to fix things up and bring them new life!
